Leadership from the essence of Namaste
Namaste as a greeting serves as a reminder that we are made of the same stuff. Hindus often greet with the phrase- Namaste- it is a phrase that you might have heard at the end of a yoga class, but it’s meaning is significance and a beautiful concept for regenerative, human leadership.
Unlearning to Learn
To teach leaders how to communicate. We need to first learn how to learn, which means we need to; learn how to unlearn, so we can learn how to relearn.
Unconditional Positive Regard
Unconditional Positive Regard is to accept and value a person, to respect and care for a person in a positive light, no matter what. Even when they are flawed, even when they might think, feel and behave in ways that we or others might not like.
Attitude for gratitude
Gratitude is taking a moment to reflect on how good things are. Not only when something good happens, whether it's small or big, but even on the most ordinary days.
Notice what you notice. Pay attention to your attention. Think about your thinking. And learn about the three types of Gratitude.
Is your self-awareness getting in the way of your actions?
If you can not measure it, you can not improve it.
So why do we suddenly forget this when it comes to our own ways of thinking and behaving.
There is more to self awareness than being focused on ourselves. We have an impact on the people and environment that we come in contact with everyday. We are interconnected, so get connected to the person closest to you… YOU!
Trust and Truth
I believe that our relationships are built on the connection between trust, authenticity and truth.
The more truth and authenticity there is, the stronger the trust— But also, the stronger the trust the easier it is to be authentic and truthful.
Cold and Discomfort, Challenge and Growth
I looked down at the huge galvanised steel bathtub made for three adults, full of ice. I was not ready yet. “Come on, let’s go” said my husband and there was no more time to think. As instructed we stepped in together. Legs in, one- two, and straight down!

Learn from Complexity
We follow the advice to …“Keep it simple, stupid.” But often life and people are not simple. The fear of complexity is actually the fear of uncertainty, which often triggers a need for control. We can open and switch our mindsets to find more calm in complexity. Reframe the challenges to bring us out of our panic zone and into our stretch zone because that is where we will grow and learn, innovate and overcome our challenges.

When protection gets in the way of connection
How the masks we wear at work to protect and shield us from harm, now could be preventing us from making meaningful human connections.
Leadership visibility is not everything
Leadership visibility is incredibly important, however, leading is less about the decisions you make behind closed doors and much more about how you are able to involve, inspire and ignite action from the people who play a role in your business success. Leader isn’t a leader if she has no followers.Human Leadership is about how others feel about themselves when they are with you. Do they feel MORE inspire and energised, MORE capable and confident, MORE a part of something meaningful?
Help Employees to Get Engaged
The task of engaging often comes down to the job of the leader or manager. Many times the leader has a long list of duties that include- connecting with and keeping the team engaged. This involves nurturing a relationship and communicating in a clear, concise and empathetic way. A human way.
